Bandhavgarh National park

Bandhavgarh National Park is a world famous Tiger Reserve Forest in Madhya Pradesh, India. The forest spread over the Vindhya Mountains. After Kanha National Park, this is the second most highly appreciated reserves in India. For tourists, this reserve is a major attraction as the forest has a diverse collection of animals and birds. More than 22 species of mammals, 250 species of beautiful birds and 70 species of butterflies can be observed here- other than the central attraction, Tiger, there are Leopard, Asiatic jackal, Ratel, Bengal fox, Jungle cat, Chinkara, small Indian civet and many others. Tourists can experience jungle safari with a guide. The Bandhavgarh National Park remains open from 16th October to 30th June; in Monsoon season the forest remains closed for the visitors.

Corbett National Park

Corbett National Park situated in Uttarakhand. The Reserve forest is named after renowned hunter turned conservationist James, Edward Corbett. It covers an area of about 521 sq. Km. The rivers, terrains, and stream passing through the forest give the wood a variety of landscapes and a vivid mosaic of habitat making it ideal for the animals. The major attraction of the Corbett National Park is Royal Bengal tiger and Asiatic Elephants. Apart from hundreds of animal species, Corbett is known for being the richest bird region of the country.  The Park remains open for the tourists from 15th November to 15th June.

Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National park is one of the most famous Reserve forests in India. Sawai situated in Madhopur District in Rajasthan. It is the ideal place for people to see animals from proximity. The total span of the area is about 400 sq. km. It was declared wildlife sanctuary years back in 1957. For tourists, this place is very convenient as it offers excellent accommodation and international transport facilities. Tigers, Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Sambar deer, Chital, Nilgai,  Chinkara, Common Palm Civets or Toddy cat, Common Yellow Bats, Desert Cats found here. With this Five striped Palm Squirrels, Indian False Vampires, Indian Flying Foxes, Indian Foxes, Indian Gerbilles, Indian Mole Rats, Indian Porcupines, Long earned Hedgehog can be seen here.

Sunderban National Park

The Sunderban National Park is a Tiger and Biosphere reserve located in Sunderbans delta. The extension of the area of the National Park is approx. 1355 Km. The city named after the Sundari tree only found in this region. The animals that the tourists can spot during their trip are the beautiful and majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, Crocodile, Macaques, Indian Grey Mongoose, Leopard Cats, Ridley Sea Turtle, Wild Boar, Jungle Cat, Fox, Flying Fox, Fishing Cats, Chital, and Pangolin to name a few.  Tourists can explore the waterways to visit the mangrove forest. It is the largest halophytic mangrove forest in the world.

Gir National Park

Gir National Park is the only place where Asiatic lions are still surviving. The park stretches over 1412 sq.km. The sanctuary has large water body like Kamleshwar Dam that gives the reptiles their habitat. Gir it is reported to be the homeland for 400 lions and 300 leopards. Four-horned antelope, Indian gazelle, and Wild Boar are in abundance in Gir. Jackal, Striped Hyena, Jungle and Rusty-spotted cat, Langur, Porcupine, Black-napped are the other animals that you can find in this sanctuary. Other than this the national park has 250 species of birds and many reptiles. October to April is the best time to visit the place.

Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga national park is one of the most sought after tourist destinations in India. Kaziranga is best known for its precious possession of one-horned rhinoceros. It is declared to be a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 1985. In this national park, you can come across Gibbon, Tiger, Leopard, Indian Elephant, Sloth Bear, Wild water buffalo and swamp deer to name a few. It was also declared as the Tiger Reserve back in the year 2006 for its growing population of Tigers. Some migratory birds from central Asia nestle here as well. In winter these birds can be seen. November to April is the ideal time to explore the Kaziranga.

Kanha National Park

Stretched over an area of approximately 940 sq. Km. Kanha National park is one of the largest parks in India. It is situated in Madhya Pradesh. Other than Sunderbans, here we can find a good number of Royal Bengal Tiger. It is one of the best-managed parks in Asia. Kanha offers you excellent accommodation and safari for the ultimate experience. The sunset point, Bamni Dadar is a famous tourist attraction.  Kanha has a diverse wildlife and bird population that attracts foreign tourists from all over the world. Periyar National Park

In Thekkady, Periyar is a popular tourist spot, which combines great scenic beauty with a rich biodiversity. It is a fantastic location of Kerala. The core area spread across around 925 sq. km. in the center of the park there is a 100 years old artificial lake that adds to the beauty of the National Park. Periyar forest is a tropical evergreen forest. Elephants, wild pigs, sambar, gaur, mouse deer, barking deer, lion-tailed macaque, the Nilgiri Langur, Gee’s Golden Lang all reside in this jungle. The wildlife lovers will enjoy the tour in the Periyar Lake, Cardamom hills and Pandalom hills.

Pench National Park

Situated on the southern boundary of Madhya Pradesh, Pench named after the river that meanders through the park. The area is mainly famous for Gaur (Indian Bison), Cheetal, Sambar, Nilgai, Wild Dog and Wild Pig. The key predator is the Tiger followed by Leopard, Wild Dog, and Wolf. Other animals include Sloth Bear, Chousingha, Chinkara, Barking Deer, Jackal, Fox, Palm Civet, Small Indian Civet, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Porcupine etc. here is over 285 species of birds that include, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Indian Pitta, Osprey, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, White-eyed Buzzard. Winter is the best time to visit the Pench National Park.
